KATE JAMES IS A BUSINESS, CAREER AND LIFE COACH
I’m Kate and I work as a business, career and life coach. I’m also the author of four best-selling books, Believe in Yourself and Do What You Love, Be Mindful and Simplify Your Life, Change How You Think and Be Happier Now and Build Resilience and Free Yourself from Fear. I’ve spent the past sixteen years working as a coach, mindfulness teacher, speaker and retreat facilitator.
Utilising tools from Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I work with everyone from leaders and business owners to lawyers, students, artists, doctors, writers, project managers and yoga teachers to help them clarify their personal strengths, develop confidence, increase self-awareness and gain clarity about their career and life direction.
My clients are creative, insightful people who have an interest in living their own version of a successful and meaningful life.
Having practised meditation for over 25 years, I now teach mindfulness workshops and retreats in Melbourne, Byron Bay and Bali, where I introduce people to different to principles of mindfulness and how they can be integrated into everyday life. I’ve spoken on national television and radio and been quoted in The Age, body+soul, BRW, Marie Claire, Mindfood magazine, and Mind Body Green.
I completed my certification in coaching with International Coach Academy in 2002 and was one of the first coaches in Australia to achieve the PCC accreditation with International Coach Federation in 2005.
I’m the mother of two adult daughters and in 2017, my husband of 30 years and I followed our dream and moved to the Mornington Peninsula where we now live on a small acreage.
